Joseph The Dreamer

Nathan & Rachael (12)

This build includes 3 scenes from the life of Joseph in which dreams play prominent parts in the story. Firstly, Genesis 37 where Joseph has 2 dreams that he shares with his parents and brothers. Then in Genesis 40 when he is in jail and Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker share their dreams with him. Finally, Genesis 41 where Pharaoh tells Joseph his dreams, asking him to interpret their meaning for him.

Nebuchadnezzar's Dream

William (12) & Jude (11)

Nebuchadnezzar laying on the bed dreaming of people bowing down to a statue made of clay, gold, iron, silver and bronze. We added Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refusing to bow.

Jacob's Dream at Bethel

This build encompasses the theme from all three aspects, with angels, visions and dreams. Jacob was travelling and was so tired he laid his head on a rock and fell asleep. He had a dream that there was a stairway from earth to heaven, with angels going up and down the stairs, to and from the earth. And God was at the very top speaking a message to Jacob.

The Fiery Furnace

James (9)

When he heard the topic for this year James was very excited and decided to do Shadrach, Meshach and Abengego walking around in the fiery furnace. It meets this years theme in that there is a vision of Jesus, represented by the clear bricks with the orange flames around it in the middle of the furnace, walking in there with them.

The Shepherds and the Manger

Abigail (11)

When the topic was angels, dreams and visions there were a number of ideas Abigail had. She chose to do a scene of the manger at the birth of Jesus, with angels hovering over the stable. I suggested to her (mum) that the angels were more at the hills outside of the manger where they appeared to the Shepards. So, she had added a small bit to the side of her manger with a hillside and some sheep and Shepards with an angel over them.

Joseph Dreams about the Baby Who Will Save

Joseph has a dream where an angel tells him Mary's baby will be Jesus who will save his people from their sin (Matthew 1:20-21) The angel holds the baby in his hands with a crown above it to symbolise the Messiah.

The Woman and the Dragon

Tom (9), Lucas (7), Sam (11), Will (14) & Mike

A seven headed dragon stands in front of a woman who is about to give birth so that it might devour her child. But the dragon doesn’t know that the child will be snatched up to God and to his throne, beginning a war between the dragon and its angels and Michael and his angels, resulting in the dragon being hurled to the earth. Rev 12:4–9

The Promise To Abraham

The LORD appeared to Abraham in a vision and said ‘Look up at the sky and count the stars – if indeed you can count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ (Genesis 15:5)

The Four Horsemen from Revelation

Owen (13), Eva (13), Miles (13) & Ari (12)

This Lego build from left to right we have Conquest, War, Famine and Death coming out of a gate. From Revelation 6 where John has a vision of the lamb opening the scroll.

Vision of the Beast rising from the Water

The 7 headed beast described in Revelation slowly rises from the ocean, dripping with water, and churning the sea. Each head is looking towards the apostle John as he looks on from the island of Patmos with an angel standing nearby, watching in horror as it emerges. The beast is bright red and has a mortally wounded head, and a long tail. Each head has black, beady eyes, sharp teeth in a snarl, and either one or two horns with a crown on each. Half of the beast is still underwater as it is coming out of the water. The island of Patmos is rocky and grassy, and has a hidden cave at the back of it containing one of the island's previous prisoners. This build captures the essence of end times and the unknown trouble that will emerge for those who do not know the Lord.

As the sun was rising, this is what Mary Magdalene and the other Mary saw. The tomb stone had been rolled away and there sat an Angel of the Lord. His body shone like lightning. His clothes were white as snow. “Don’t be afraid,” said the angel. “He is not here. He has risen!”

The Angel on the Rock

We have depicted the angel sitting on the Rock telling the good news that Jesus has risen according to Matthew's gospel.

We have built the scene from Revelation 10 with the angel who has one foot on land and one on the sea. His legs are like fiery pillars and has a cloak of cloud and a face like the sun. He has a rainbow above his head and is holding a little scroll about to hand it to John.

Stairway to Heaven

Jacob had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord.

Dry Bones Live Again

Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones coming together, muscles and skin covering them, and the bodies came back to life. Ezekiel 37:1-14

Nebuchadnezzar's Broken Tree

This build shows the part of Nebuchadnezzar's dream where the tree is cut down, the animals flee and the stump of the tree is left in the grass of the field. Daniel 4:13-15

Stairway To Heaven

Using forced perspective, our build shows Jacob's dream of angels ascending and descending a stairway to Heaven, as described in Genesis 28.

Belshazzar's Feast

This Lego Build is a depiction of Belshazzar's Feast, a Bible story found in chapter five of Daniel. The left side of the build shows a peaceful city with townsfolk going about their business as usual. The middle part shows the palace in which King Belshazzar and his friends are startled by a vision of a hand writing on the wall, while at a feast where they are using articles stolen from the temple in Jerusalem. The right side shows a quiet river where the first few men of the invading army are sneaking under the defences of the city through the waterways.

A Heavenly Vision

Julia, Dean & Joel (11)

We have used forced perspective in our build. The river of life runs down the street of gold through the heavenly city. It disappears into the distance. The front of the build is framed by the tree of life, bearing its 12 crops of fruit, and a heavenly city building. Another tree of life can be found opposite, further down the river. The great white throne of God has deliberately been made larger than the micro build at its feet. This is to represent the sovereignty and greatness of God over all things.
